The name comes from Final Fantasy VIII's Galbadia Garden and was partially inspired by Coronet's
trabia-garden.net since I did want a FFVIII related domain, but all of the ones I had initially
wanted weren't available or just weren't catchy or too long for my liking (like my previous domain, silverstardust.net). I had initally wanted a .nu
domain instead of a .net, but .nu was a bit too far out of my price range. I purchased galbadia.net from
godaddy on April 2nd, 2004. It has been mostly inactive since then, since I couldn't figure out what I
really wanted to do with it till this year. Until this year, it was mostly used to house images for layouts on sites like Livejournal and whatnot.
Galbadia.net has been hosted by 1and1.com since September 2006, along with
karinui.net. The package that I use is shared between myself and my friend,
Keegan.
The name karinui comes from the song, Karinui by Mamiko Noto, and was initially the name of one of my
Ragnarok Online characters (whom has been renamed at this point due to server moves). There wasn't
much thought put into this domain seeing as my friend and I wanted a place where we could upload stuff and have our websites and our package from 1and1
came with 2 domains so we each took one. I don't much care for this domain anymore so I tend to just use it as a slave for holding images and uploading
crap to.
